Do you charge per user?
No. Every plan includes unlimited users. You pay for how much you use — forms, responses, records, signatures — never per seat.
What happens if I reach a plan limit?
Nothing is billed and nothing is deleted. You are told which limit you reached and offered the next plan up. Anything you already published keeps working — you simply cannot create more of that thing until you are back under the limit or you upgrade.
What do I get on each plan?
Free: 2 live forms, 25 responses a month, 2 record folders, 3 signature envelopes and 3 AI form builds. Starter ($9.99/mo): 10 forms, 250 responses, 25 folders, 25 envelopes, 30 AI builds. Professional ($49.99/mo): 50 forms, 2,000 responses, 150 folders, 150 envelopes, 100 AI builds, and your branding removed. Business ($99.99/mo): unlimited forms, responses, folders and envelopes, with 300 AI builds a month.
Is the AI form builder on every plan?
Yes. Forms, records, e-signatures and the AI form builder are on every plan, Starter included. The only difference between plans is how much of each you get per month.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — there is a permanently free plan and it needs no credit card. Paid plans have no trial: when you upgrade, your card is charged that day and the plan starts immediately. Cancel anytime.
Can I collect payments or receive faxes?
Both are add-ons on paid plans, available by request rather than self-serve — email support@getdocssigned.com and we will set them up. Neither is available on the Free plan.
Are signatures legally binding?
Yes. GetDocsSigned signatures are fully compliant with the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, as well as eIDAS in the EU. Every signed document includes a tamper-evident certificate and full audit trail.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged that day; downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
What file formats are supported?
PDF files. Upload any standard PDF and place signature, date, and text fields anywhere on the document. All signed documents are returned as merged PDFs.
